Both the teachers and parents have welcomed us with open arms. I was chatting with one of the parents this morning and then she sent an email to the principal later today inviting us over for supper on Saturday as well as a swim in her pool. Her house is up on the hill and has a spectacular view so we are really looking forward to this weekend ( it also happens to be a long weekend, only here a week and we already have a holiday - national hero day).
One thing I have noticed about the school is that the parents and teachers are really involved in the student's life. It is not uncommon for a teacher to show up for a student's birthday party or for a parent to invite a teacher over for dinner. We are really enjoying our experience in SVG thus far. I have caught 2 lizards, Caleigh has gotten some pics of the black bellied sheep and Eleni is enjoying the Caribbean music.
